Contact Garmin support. I have the exact same watch, all the latest updates and the solar battery charge meter shows solar charging immediately. I checked the version of my software. It’s 15.20. I have auto update enabled (I double checked). I’m far behind given the fact I should have always the latest software.
Sure but it's not boding well so far :) Down from 40% to 33% in a couple of hours. So the watch discharged from 40 to 0% in 4 days. When it turned itself off, I put it on charge and it won't charge beyond 14-15%, same as with the other battery. Since it's not an issue with the battery, nor with the cable, it must be an issue with the charging

There's a weird auto-save happening each time I connect my Garmin Fenix 7x Solar Sapphire when I'm in the middle of an activity. sschoell over 4 years ago. Since a few weeks, I have a problem with my Fenix 5. When I connect it to a computer (Windows 10), the watch is not recognized as a device (i.e. does not show up at all in the Explorer) - its also not shown in connected USB devices. It does charge however. Tried on three different computers with two different cables.

Fenix 5x Sapphire/ Garmin Connext/ Garmin Express NOT WORKING If your 5X is not showing up as a drive on your Mac, please make sure that the USB mode is set to Mass Storage in Settings=>System=>USB Mode.
